Terms of service
1. About us and these terms
venueprints.co.uk is run by Stephen Dunhill, a sole trader trading as Venue Prints. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Venue Prints, and "you" means the person buying from or using this website.
- Address: Maudlin Farm, Dairy Lane, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PE, United Kingdom
- Email: musicvenueprints@gmail.com
- VAT: We are not VAT registered
These terms apply to every order placed through this website. Please read them before you order. If you are buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Our shop runs on Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform and checkout.
2. Ordering
When you place an order, you'll get an email confirming we've received it. That email isn't yet acceptance of your order. A contract between us is formed when we email to confirm your order has been accepted or dispatched.
We may decline an order: for example, if an item is unavailable, if there's an obvious pricing error, or if personalisation content breaks section 3. If we decline after you've paid, we'll refund you in full promptly.
3. Personalised prints
Most of our prints are personalised to your instructions, for example with a name, date or message. Please check spelling, dates and other details carefully before you order, because we print exactly what you give us. If you spot a mistake, email us straight away. We'll fix it free of charge if the print hasn't gone into production yet.
We may refuse personalisation text that is offensive or unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights, such as a trade mark or a band logo. By sending us text or other content to include, you confirm that you have the right to use it.
If we make an error that isn't in your instructions, we'll reprint the order at no cost to you, or refund you if you prefer.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but changes won't affect orders we've already accepted.
If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price because of an error, we'll contact you before dispatch. You can then pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's secure payment system. We never see or store your full card details.
5. Delivery
We ship within the UK and internationally. Personalised prints are made to order. Please allow 6 working days for production, plus the delivery time shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates, but if we can't deliver within 30 days of your order, you may cancel for a full refund.
The print is our responsibility until it reaches you, or the person you nominate to receive it. If it arrives damaged or goes missing in the post, section 7 explains what we'll do.
International orders: deliveries outside the UK may be charged import duties, taxes or customs fees in the destination country. These are payable by the recipient and aren't included in our prices. Customs checks can also add delays that are outside our control.
6. Cancelling your order
Personalised prints: these are made to your specification, so the usual 14-day right to cancel online purchases doesn't apply once production has started. Until then, email us and we'll cancel your order and refund you in full.
Non-personalised items: you may cancel within 14 days of the day you receive your order without giving a reason. Tell us by email, then return the item within 14 days of telling us. Items must be unused and in the condition you received them. You pay the return postage unless the item is faulty. We'll refund the price and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of getting the item back, using your original payment method.
7. Faulty, damaged or lost prints
Personalised or not, every print must be of satisfactory quality, as described and fit for purpose. If yours isn't, or it arrives damaged, please email us with your order number and a photo of the problem. Let us know as soon as you can, ideally within 14 days of delivery; this doesn't reduce your legal rights.
We'll then reprint and resend it free of charge, or give you a full refund including delivery, whichever you prefer. You won't usually need to send a damaged print back. If we do ask for it, we'll cover the return postage.
If your order hasn't arrived 7 working days after the expected delivery date (14 for international orders), please check with neighbours and any safe place, then email us. We'll look into it with the carrier and send a replacement or a full refund. If tracking shows your order was delivered to the address you gave us, or the address was incorrect, we can't treat it as lost, but we'll do our best to help.
Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days of us agreeing one.
8. Copyright and artwork
All artwork, illustrations, designs, photos and text on this website are the work of Stephen Dunhill. They are protected by copyright and remain ours. Buying a print gives you the physical print for your own personal use. It doesn't give you the right to copy, scan, reproduce or sell the artwork, or to use it commercially, without our written permission.
Venue names appear on our prints to identify the buildings illustrated. Their use doesn't mean the venues or their owners endorse or are connected with Venue Prints.
9. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when the contract was made. We aren't responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable.
Our prints are for domestic and private use. We aren't liable for business losses, such as lost profit or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- breach of your legal rights as a consumer, including your right to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described
10. Using this website
Please don't misuse this website. This includes trying to hack it, introducing viruses or other harmful code, or scraping its content. We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for their content.
11. Your personal information
We only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy, in line with UK data protection law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections given by the consumer law of your country.
If you're unhappy with anything, please email us first at musicvenueprints@gmail.com. We'll do our best to put things right quickly.
